I’m a 4.0 student and didn’t even get an invitation letter… don’t think I’m going to get it from here on out either.

Damn. Maybe they just only offered like 5 this year, or something.

I actually believe Celtics that some regents have been announced, but I think they are still in the process of releasing them, or at least I hope for your guys’ sake.

life goes on. i didn’t get it. you guys didn’t get it. get over it. regents have already been released. i already told you this. this is the 3rd time i’m saying it on this thread alone. if u still don’t believe me, or even alejandra (the UCLA FA girl), then u shouldn’t have been accepted in the first place. seriously, get over it.

i got it. its 2000 plus some other good perks.

^there. thats enough proof that its out.

That’s definitely not enough proof that its out. No screenshot.

ok i take that back. ^ is an idiot. that letter is for freshman

Even though you are a freshman, I am still curious. Did you get that letter at the same time as admission or afterwards?

i am a transfer student and this letter is for transfer students, as it clearly states its for 2 years.

^why does the letter say it’s the “highest honor for freshman”? whatever good job

i dont know. i just re-read that congratulations letter, and its mention of freshmen only is curious, but on another page it states:
“The UCLA Committee on Honors, Awards and Prizes is very pleased to award you the 2010-11 Regents Scholarship! The Regents Scholarship is the most prestigious and highest honor bestowed upon an incoming freshman or transfer student at the University of California.”

Why does it say 55,665 students applied when, in reality, 57,613 freshman and 18,743 transfer students applied?

http://www.today.ucla.edu/portal/ut/fall-2010-student-applications-152142.aspx

i dont know why you guys are nitpicking. its the letter i got. i did a screen cap and posted it on here. take it for what its worth.

Okay guys, I’m not pointing fingers or blaming anyone of being misleading…I’ll let you guys do that on your own…but that Regents letter said, “Of the record 55,665 students…”

Check this link out
[UCLA’s applicant pool for fall is more diverse, stronger academically / UCLA Today](http://www.today.ucla.edu/portal/ut/ucla-s-applicant-pool-for-fall-79372.aspx)

The beginning of the article says, “About 55,600 would-be freshmen and 16,500 transfer hopefuls applied to UCLA for FALL 2009…”

So either UCLA goofed and wrote 2009 numbers on their 2010 Regents letter or that letter is from last year.

Woot! I got it! Wasn’t expecting to but now I’m unbelievably stoked :D

And yeah, it does say freshmen and 55 thousand whatever students, so I guess it was just a goof on their part. I can do an SS if you really want.

Good job guys! Kinda disappointing for me, I was really hoping for it. Ah well, it’s still pretty effin’ sweet that I even got in.

Hmmmm…

When I logged into my URSA and clicked on the financial aid link, it automatically redirected me to the congratulations letter. I guess they set up a special page for people who got the regents because my financial aid page has links to a bunch of regents stuff. I’ll SS so you can see what I mean.
