<p>I have time to kill and it's too late to book plane tickets for a reasonable price so I thought i'd try Amtrak next weekend.</p>
<p>I'm really concerned about the Thruway shuttle to the Amtrak station in Bakersfield to take the San Joaquin to Oakland. If anyone has taken it(the thruway bus) before.. is it on time? Can i bring a small suitcase? and does it run during the weekends? I haven't been able to find much information about the thruway shuttle and since I have no other way of getting to Bakersfield on a saturday morning, I'd like to know more. </p>
<p>Also what are some other suggestions for getting up to the bay area. (megabus won't let me bring my BACKPACK with another luggage! -_- and I wouldn't know how to get to the greyhound station)</p>
