Has anyone taken many APs with a part-time job

I'm most probably going to have to get a job next year to help my parents but I am most likely taking at least 3 AP classes and perhaps upto 5. Does anyone have experience with this kind of situation.

I personally don't have any experience with such a situation, but I can say with some confidence that a part time job on top of my current AP courseload (a trifling 4 -- inb4peoplewithmore) would be a rather easy undertaking... a full time job might even be doable!

It does depend very much so on your school though -- why not ask upperclassmen with similar schedules how much time they had?

That, or ask your Ap teachers to get advice/a general guideline...it's hard to give a definitive answer based on that info alone, but then I'm willing to bet it's doable, unless you're really lazy (like someone I know.. ;))

I guess most people will say to manage your time accordingly. Get your schoolwork done as early as you can, and then go to your job.

im currently in 3 APs and 2 college classes along with a part time job(12-15 hours/week). Pretty easy so far to be honest, but its the beginning of the year though still. Also, i dont have the added stress of my job being necessary financially for my family, its to keep me busy
PM me if you want to talk or have any questions

I'm currently taking 3 APs this semester and then 4 next along with a part time job. I was able to cope with the stress by using work as an outlet to get away from having to think about school. It worked pretty well for me.

My job (tutoring for an after-school study program) lets me do homework when everything is done, so it really doesn't affect my school work. What does bog up my schedule are the numerous clubs and activities that I have signed up for.

I think it really depends on the difficulty of your classes and how you're handling it right now.

I'm planning on getting a job too, but I have talked to some upperclassmen who have jobs, 4 to 6 AP classes, and are in numerous clubs, attend Saturday tutoring in the morning since some AP classes require it, still have time to go out on the weekends to go to football games and to the mall, and are at the top of their class. So I think it's very doable, as long as you properly manage your time. Of course, I believe it means that if you're a big TV fan you'll have to cut down on some of the shows, and you'll have to cut down on procrastinating if you do that a lot. Maybe when you get your job, what will help is to type up a schedule of what you'll do daily, such as approximately how much time you spend on homework and studying.

i had 3 APs last year and a full time job. (well 35hrs/week)

This is me. I have 6 APs this year and a very part-time job, go out all the time, and am salutatorian at the moment [but don't have Saturday tutoring or anything like that, just lotsss of after-school activities I'm committed to]. I don't think it'd be a big deal at ALL to have a part-time job and lots of APs... It just makes you stop procrastinating :]

I'm taking 4 APs, 2ish Honors courses (including math team), the president of two clubs at our school, volunteer, and have a part time job. I love my job though, and only have to work around 9ish hours a week on tuesdays, thursdays, and saterdays. I think the reason why it works, like INVENIAMVIAM said, is cause I tend to procratinate so much less when I don't have time. It sounds like a lot, but it isn't really.
