I don’t need too many more classes before I’m done with my majors - i’m mostly limited by the fact that the Linguistics department only offers certain classes in certain quarters - so I’m going to be taking some lower div “fun” classes this year.

Has anyone here taken intro music theory with Triest? I’m not worried about the difficulty since I play multiple instruments and have taken music theory classes in high school, but does anyone know anything about the layout or structure of the classes and assignments? lecture only meets once a week and section meets three times a week, so it’s pretty different from every other class i’ve taken here.

Same thing with GER/FMS 45, Vampires. I liked Prof. Fisher in FMS 1 and the fact that it’s cross listed in the German department caught my eye since I speak German. What exactly do we go over in the class and what kind of assignments do we get? there’s a screening section so i assume we have films we have to watch every week, but other than that, is it just papers? if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. :)

(also if anyone has questions about studying abroad, economics, or linguistics, feel free to pm me)
