I know you always lose credit in the transfer process, but some of the top schools may not transfer any credit or almost no credits and make you start as a freshman
I’ve heard of MIT doing this, but other top schools might do the same, too.
Has anyone here transferred to a top private and received barely any credit or no credits at all?
Hard to imagine a college that is any level of selectivity other than open admission admitting a transfer student whose record shows only courses that the college considers non-transferable.
Someone transferring from a not-regionally-accredited college to an open admission community college may get no transfer credit from the courses taken at the not-regionally-accredited college.
Some private colleges are very stingy with granting transfer credit to frosh who took college or dual-enrollment courses while in high school.
