Has anyone used NARS/(NARHS) or Clonlara?

I'm hoping to be able to hear some feedback about these two schools/transcript services. We're just starting our high school journey and would be particularly interested in those who have pursued or are pursuing Academy admittance.

Thank you so much!!

I looked into NARS--but frankly I couldn't see enough value in it. I took quite a bit of heat at our home schooling center as the rest of the parents were all pushing it. My one friend who used it said that it really wasn't worth the money for what you got out of it. (which means you really can, at some point, print up your own home made diploma). My oldest is at an academy now, and she said the Indiana HS program really prepared her. (Keep in mind lots of cadets there struggle-including ones that have done community college before going to the academy.) You really are graded on what you know (comprehensive midterm and a comprehensive second half test (final), vs. group "projects" and classroom participation. She filled up blue books for her 2 hour history finals starting in 9th grade. She really regards that as excellent preparation for academy studies. She also did some classes at the local high school on a part time basis, so she has some comparisons. The Indiana people are great when it comes time to apply to colleges. Also at the very end--they went above and beyond the call of duty-they were getting her grades posted to her transcript within hours, not weeks as is normal. We were overnighting the tests, the teachers were getting them corrected for each subject.. and this is across the country.. (They knew she had to get on a plane in June with everything completed) The best part is that her activities are what she really enjoys--and by homeschooling she was able to develop those to a higher level. At the academy they have really helped her develop friendships and give options of healthy activities. Because of homeschooling she was able to continue her sports, music, horseback riding, etc. all the way through high school, so she still competes in sports, rides her horse-It keeps her happy!
