Has everyone received interview requests? (because i haven't)

I applied RD…and I live in an area that I believe is full of Penn alumni…but haven’t heard anything from an alum yet…shol I write the admission office to inquire?

No, you should NOT contact the admissions office to inquire. Read Penn’s information on the interview program: http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/apply/freshman-admission/interviews and read the Interview FAQ: http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/apply/interview-faq

It is very early in the interview process. The area coordinators are still in the process of assigning interviews. I have only JUST had several RD students assigned to me, and it is not uncommon for me to receive requests from my coordinator VERY close to the deadline. You really need to take a deep breath and try to be patient. I know it’s hard. It might set your mind at ease to know that there is plenty of time before the reports are due back to Penn.

Will you get offered an interview? You might. Or you might not. You may live in an area chock-a-block with alum, but not all alums interview. Most alums limit the number of interviews they do as well. In the meantime, I recommend that you check the spam filters for the email address on file with admissions. More than once I’ve had my emails to students filtered to spam. It happens less now, but it does still happen.

Good luck. I hope you hear from an alum soon.

Thank you, @plmdin Your advice is sound and I will follow your advice.

And I will try not to be paranoid…
