<p>I have a few college friends that said they were put like in a double, but their roommate never showed up even though they paid for it... -.- so they got the whole room to themselves.. lol = =.</p>

<p>It happens, but not often. I knew one girl who had a double. Her roommate stayed with her boyfriend in another dorm building and only came back to her own room for clothes. Don't expect that you'll have a roommate who disappears quite often though.</p>
<p>Last year, a triple on my floor had only 2 girls in it the whole year. I may have saw the 3rd girl a few times, but no one except for the roommates had spoken a word to her and her stuff just disappeared after a little while. But I agree that this is a very rare instance.</p>
