<p>is there anyone else here hates high school and being babysat and just cant wait to leave the "college prep" world, and HS in general.</p>
<p>I don't hate it. I do like being with my friends and the sports. But, class is just babysitting and I learn more by myself than in class. Hopefully this changes next year -- fingers crossed. </p>
<p>I find it funny when teachers say, "I am not here to baby sit you, kids."</p>
<p>HS isn't completely bad because for me, after I leave my own little bubble world where I just focused on tests and school, I know that I will have to worry about taking care of my parents and getting out of college/graduate school and making money, taking care of their finances, and getting the fattest scholarships so that it won't be a financial burden, and the like.
Moreover, the friends that you meet in HS are more caring and kinder than those of the real world who don't give a damn about you if you lost your job or are in debt or whatever undesirable circumstances may be. Life in the real world is extremely complicated in contrast to the simple life of HS.</p>
<p>all of the social stuff too, like, i cant stand people who get offended because you dont abide by the unwritten MTV social code of conduct. Above all I hate people whose only sphere of existence is the social sphere, I feel like my tax dollars are being wasted on them.</p>
<p>I hate it but that has a lot to do with MY high school. Most of the kids here are unmotivated, immature, and have no direction in life. I won't miss it at all once I move on to college.</p>
<p>I love studying, well quite frankly, I HAVE too.</p>
<p>10 years + more studying to go, better "try" to enjoy it now then continue to stress from it.</p>
<p>yea, I hate those kids, and I hate the paternalistic older peolpe who say, "geeze sonny, those are the best years of your life, dont waste em boy", and all I can think of is GEEZE, atleast MTV/mass media marketing didnt ruin your generation</p>

<p>luckily going to an all boys prep high school i don't have to deal with drama or unmovited kids. we have to wear shirt and ties and slacks so there is no "trendsetting" just a small drug scene. </p>
<p>i also hate the scene MTV has created. i used to watch that station, but now i never do. i recently realized how influenced my sister is from that station. she talks like them, looks like them, and does whatever they do on laguna beach (take pictures of themselves and act dumb). she basically watches the lives of other people for fun. how stupid does that sound? </p>
<p>however, in general i'm enjoying my high school years, but I can't wait for college and more independence and.. GIRLS :) and don;t worry there are 2 all girls schools right by my HS ;)</p>

<p>its kinda scary sometimes, to think that i'll be going to college. its such an exciting feeling. ive been living in china for over 8 years and i dread so freaking much the smell of good hot dogs and mrs.fields cookies. i want to go to a college where the teachers are really good and dont have serious accent problems.

<p>its so that you can concentrate on your school work instead of useless social crap and getting laid, there was a time along time ago when people were moral, and attempted to help society before they got laid. Girls are just too dang distracting for people like me.</p>
