<p>I had a similar issue happen to me last year in my English class. We had a major research paper to do, and it was worth about the same amount of points (400-500) and she required that the essay, works cited paper, and all resource notes be put into a folder, and that the works cited paper be stapled to the essay. I forgot to staple the works cited to the essay, and apparently, that meant that I had no works cited and “invalid resources”. I got about 150 points taken off.</p>

<p>I was furious, and I had my mom talk to her and to the English board. The teacher would not change the grade, but I would still encourage you to talk to the head of the department of the subject that the class is for in order to get this problem resolved.</p>

<p>Yeah, it’s probably best you go with your mom and talk to the English teacher about the situation and if that doesn’t work out too well try getting the principle involved.</p>
