<p>So here is the deal first of all she made us do groups for our research papers (she picked them) then she told us about the project a week before spring break but never told us really want to do. Then when the papers were due she and everyone was freaking out because she gave us like 2weeks she said "I gave you a month". So she gives us a like 1day extension. So the next day everyone turned them in and of course they all sucked because NONE of the groups got along there were fights daily (same with my group and I had to do most of the work). So then she allowed a redo (after giving everyone 0s). It was due today and I couldn't print it because I haven't had printer ink in like forever and the school library has been closed for testing. So today was my AP Psych test and I told her I would have to email it to her and she said okay as long as it was in by 3:05. So my test got out late and my house was far away so I got home about 3 or so I went to my computer started it up and sent my paper to her and it sent like2min late and I told her about the test getting out late and this is what she said </p>

Because your paper is late and I have not made any exceptions, I will give your paper half credit and grade accordingly.</p>

<p>I don't care anymore I will take the zero. During this whole project you have put me through hell and don't even care and won't even help. Just take the "smart" kid's side. I would rather you not grade it and me get a zero then have to look at a paper I worked my ass off for and you destoryed when we both know if I was one of those kids who hang around your room all the time I would get an A. Weren't you the one who said you earn a grade with academic work?</p>
<p>Wow, over a paper being 2 minutes late? That is a jerk move. Talk to her in person and explain your side of the story… calmly. Hope you get the credit you deserve.</p>
<p>Don’t want to be a debbie downer but many teachers are like that. In fact every paper I had was due by midnight and we received a 0 even if it was literally 1 second late.</p>
<p>Calm down, don’t send the crazy email, and figure out how to solve this.
One solution is to get a note from the AP teacher verifying that you were released late, and give that note to the English teacher. It sounds like there have been lots of lame excuses, and she is fed up, too.</p>
<p>Chill out, it happens to the best of us and the worst of us. Go talk to her, but only once you are cooled down. Be calm and be respectful. She sounds like a b****, but if you treat her that way she’s not going to want to help you out. Act really nice, like it was your fault and your mistake but it wasn’t intentional. Be apologetic, but also stay your ground. Good luck.</p>
<p>Wow… Is your mom/parent an extrovert? My mom would go into that classroom and make her WISH that she never said that. Some teachers don’t understand that they are effing with a lot of kids futures when it comes to our grades. You honestly have a pretty good excuse. </p>
<p>I would first talk to her in person. You should definitely let her know your frustration and (show that your sincerely upset). I remember when I was in high school taking all these competitive APs, doing extra curriculars, etc. It can be SO stressful and a lot of these ******* teachers don’t try to make it any easier on you.
If talking to her doesn’t work, your parent NEEDS to go to the English department head and let him/her know what is up. Do NOT be passive! If that paper means a lot for your class grade, you have to be proactive about it. Don’t give up without a fight/effort.</p>
<p>Sorry, I really HATE teachers like this. Acting as if you had control of when they would release you from your test. Two minutes, with a valid excuse like yours, should really not be a big deal.</p>

<p>And yeah I know and it to make worse I talked to her about it that day that I would be doing the AP test! Our school is all about ap she should know that it takes time!! UHH!</p>

<p>Yeah honestly, you should have emailed her it the night before or at least explained the problem the night before. She has been super nice I think, I mean really she gave you a whole break, an extra day, and a redo and all that time you could have fixed your printer or printed it in the library. I mean some teachers may have just said “Tuff ****” when you all did not do it the first time. </p>

<p>@artickoalabear I did explain it when I sent the paper email! She is just adding more crap in my already crappy life!! UHH! And no if you read the story right you would know during that break she didn’t even tell us what we had to do for the project her exact words were “a break should be a break”.</p>
Did you know what the deadline would be? Two weeks is a while for a paper, unless it’s over 10 pages.</p>
<p>If you were only two minutes late, I don’t think she should have penalized you. However, that doesn’t mean you should wish her harm.</p>

When you quoted my post you changed 50 to 40… As in, if she gives you half credit, and that’s a 50, it means it would have been a 100 without the penalty.</p>
Not really we were told that “we would have enough time to do it”. And not if you have to deal with crap and **** and a STUPID TEACHER who adds things to the project at the last minute without telling people! Also PEOPLE! when I said “go off on her” I did not mean hurt her I meant yell and stuff</p>
