There's always a few that forget to have their SAT scores sent to NMCorp, so do so today if you haven't already. It's not too late to have scores sent.

Thanks! I did remember my SAT score… but there’s one thing I keep forgetting and to send my first-choice college.
To clarify–I can only get 2k max from a first-choice college, and if so I cannot get $ from the NMF?

lonely–
You can get more than 2k, but if you get $$ from the school or a corporate sponsor, then you don’t get it from National Merit Corp, if I understand their rules correctly.

I never knew that we were supposed to send SAT scores.
I am a semi-finalist, so it is required for me to send the scores, correct?
Ugh I’m annoyed that my school never told me about this.

:)

It’s for kids like you that I made this thread. Glad it’s going to help you.

YES…you MUST send your SAT score. Use the code above. Do it NOW so you don’t forget!!!

Is it normal for score-send status to still be pending after nearly a week? On average how long does it take for a score to be processed. Don’t think the holidays would be a factor considering deadlines are so close for certain schools etc

@Cadillac, almost all of the schools and score sending agencies took off from at least Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the weekend. So, I think it’s pretty normal that the status is still pending.

Around how much do the “official” college-sponsored scholarships usually range?
I got the impression from the NMF packet that they were pretty low.

Also: around 90% or so of semifinalists get finalist, correct? Who are those 10%–did their SAT scores simply not confirm their PSAT, or could they just not have high-rigor transcripts or a weak essay?
If my SAT score and grades are fine, can I expect to get finalist?

Thank you so much for this thread mom2collegekids, I never knew. Completely slipped my mind; I just assumed they had a way of accessing our scores, or that my school would do it.
