Have all NMSF's remembered to have SAT scores sent to NMCorp?

D is a semifinalist, and took the Oct SAT and has sent those scores to NM. She is taking the Dec SAT this Saturday… should she also send those scores???

Thanks in advance! I really appreciate this site and all of the wonderful information!

If your D’s SAT score from October was high enough, it’s fine.

Thanks! I think she should be ok, (2160).

She signed up to take it again because she had concerns she didn’t do well the first time. Once she realized her score was ok for NM, it was too late to cancel. Her thoughts are, ‘might as well take it, can’t hurt’. No pressure, and it is possible her score may improve. She is trying to prepare, but like many seniors has little free time. A better score may help with some scholarship apps.

Yes, her score is fine!!!

Just another confirming voice here: 2160 is fine.

Bump…

Great idea, mom2collegekids! I sent my child’s ages ago, right after getting official word on NMSF status - I figured that we might as well send the scores to all the schools and NMSF early to get that done.
To those NMSFers who need to send scores - just go to CB and navigate to the page that you use to send scores to colleges - you’ll find NM as one of the choices. It costs $10, dunno if there are waivers.
Don’t spend money on rush scores - it won’t really help.

Good job mom2! I’m sure that the 10% of non-finalists contains a large number of correctable situations. Thanks for helping some kids out.

when my guidance counselor told me about being a nmsf, she actually told me that i didn’t need to send in a score report. i went in a few days later, after i’d read through the packet, to tell her (for future reference) that, actually, i did need to send a report. she was surprised.

And my d’s another one who needed a reminder and who you helped! Right now the air is full of “. . .shoot, shoot, shoot!” THANKS!

Glad to help…it’s not too late!!!

:)
