And echo-baby are children born to echo-boomers. Also it was the second largest birth rate in US history after the Baby boom of the 40s and 50s. The Echo boom accord in the early 90s.

Oh, thank you for providing that info.

ephenst where did you find the info about mike being homeless and diane/michelle?

sophie was my favorite, east asian language major <3

so we are all echo-boomers?

Fffff Mike better not be homeless. He seemed like such an amazing person, maybe clueless about academics, but he really had his head on straight. I want to hunt him down and ask him if he wants to sleep in my living room or something.
Sophie… hahaha. Not so surprised. Wonder how her dad responded to that.

you could always go to an ivy for grad he said

lmao that was my favorite part of the whole thing. She was like “DAD!”

I am so glad I don’t have asian parents damn

I think the poster was joking about Mike being homeless, but I could be wrong…IDK how you would get that kind of information though.

Mike is the man. He has people skills which matter in the real world. I think he’s going to get into management, and one day he’s going to be telling all of those Ivy grads what to do.

^^I agree. He’s very stable and he’s got a good head on his shoulders. He’ll be great in real life.

Yes I think so too.

People skills and personality and likability and charisma, etc. etc. etc, go a hell of a long way.

“Management” is pretty arbitrary, a manager at the local McDonald’s is considered getting into “management”. I wouldn’t say that Mike has any superior “people skills”, he just comes from a pretty tough background and is a pretty level-headed and mature kid.

He’s gonna do good in life though. He’s driven to succeed, he just had a lot on his plate in HS, with two younger brothers and a single mother.

The others seemed like they needed their parents to push them which is never a good sign.

Yeah, well they were weak! >=)

I’ve only watched the 1st two parts (episodes?) because of the Wall. Damn, I really wanna watch this series. Makes me realize just how lucky I am to have parents who aren’t extremely strict about the Ivies. 2 days till ED results. Good luck y’all.

any more news on sophie? haha…she’s not getting into an ivy for grad school anymore with that arrest. lol it was so funny when i found out she was a pot dealer now

I actually respect her more now, oddly enough.

Mike was really optimistic, but was a bit clueless about the college app process. I feel like that’s where asian parents would help a bit. He’s a sweet guy and is really dedicated to his family.

LOL! I don’t imagine her dad would be too delighted …

Poor Mike. I did a double take upon hearing his SAT scores though …
But seriously. Lost in mail part T.T

I was surprised that Diana got accepted to both Yale and Harvard. She hardly had any extra curricular activities, and they are not that amazing
