Have I messed up?

As I am about to enter my senior year of high school, I am starting to doubt decisions of class choices that I have made up until now.

About Me:

Unweighted GPA: 3.8

Weighted GPA: 4.1

Extracurriculars : Track team junior year, plan to be on it again this upcoming year.

Honors classes: Algebra 2, Trig/Precalculus, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish 5-6, English 1-2, English 3-4

AP Classes: None so far unfortunately, as I wasn’t thinking my junior year. However, I will be taking AP Government this year

So for my senior year, I have decided to take community college classes as well as my high school classes. Instead of taking AP Calculus AB at my high school, I have decided to take a precalculus 2 class at a community college for the first semester, then take Calculus 1 the second semester. As for English, instead of taking AP Lit, I have opted to take English 102 at my community college. Have these decisions hurt me in my chances for college admissions?

Also, I would like to hear the cold hard chances of myself making it into any UC’s.

Thanks for anyone who has taken their time to help me out.

I would also like to mention that I have an ACT score of 28

UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Intended major? How many AP’s available at your HS?
SAT or ACT scores? In-state CA?

If AP’s are available at your HS, it is usually better to take advantage of them. If you do well on the CC courses, it probably will not make a difference since Senior grades are not considered in UC admission decisions, only your course rigor will be noted and AP would have accomplished the same thing.

Cannot chance without this information.

To me, Precalc and English 102 at your CC don’t come across as rigorous when you had AP Calc and AP Eng Lit at your HS. You’ve done reasonably well in your prior honors courses. I would push myself and take the two AP classes. This coursework will better approximate what you see in college.
