Have to take Writing portion every ACT?

Hey guys, I got my scores for the June ACT today, went from 29 in October with a 20 in math to a 33 this June with a 32 in math.

I took the October ACT and got 29 Composite with an 11 in writing, and this time around I didn't take the writing test but got 33 composite.

I guess my question is, will colleges see that I got an 11 in writing on an old ACT and then combine that with the composite score from my better ACT score? It's going to suck if I have to retake it in September with the writing test and hope I can get 33 with an 11.

Well, it depends. If the colleges you're applying to superscore, then you don't have to. Otherwise, you do if you still want to improve your score.

There are a fair amount of top schools that require the writing portion on any ACT for them to consider it, so you might have to. :( Congrats on the 33 though!
