<p>I've heard its a horrible neighborhood. I've heard of pizzamen mugging people (you order a pizza and hotwings, 45 mins later a pizza delivery guy comes to your door and knocks, you open and "empty out your pockets" and he has a gun on him, ive heard of people getting beat up on the streets and losing all their items, i've heard of prostitutes walking up the university avenue. </p>
<p>Can someone that goes there please explicate this.</p>

<p>I highly doubt any of that is true. I am lived in riverside county practically my whole life and have never heard of any of those things especially the pizza man thing that is just weird. Obviously every city has its goods and bads. One has to be careful where ever they are and walk in pairs at night but those things you mentioned are most likely false.</p>

<p>The “University Ave corridor” is not on campus, it’s the road you walk on to get to some of the off campus apartments, shops, fast food and the movie theater. They do hold some classes in the movie theater. During the day, that area is bustling with students, walking back and forth to campus. I’ve never seen anything resembling a prostitute anywhere near there. I wouldn’t walk off campus at night alone though. Criminals know students have money, so they look for students off campus. The campus is very safe as far as I can tell, I see security everywhere, but I’ve never heard of a crime occurring on campus, only off campus.</p>
<p>There is crime in every large city. If you’re that worried about it, don’t go to any school in a city. And serial killers are mostly found in small towns. So I guess you can’t go there either…</p>
<p>LOL okay just stay in your little bubble, don’t even go to college, don’t go to parties, stay indoors where it’s safe. Don’t live your life. Who needs to right? As long as you’re safe. Grow a pair will you, there’s crime everywhere and I hope you get some bravery within yourself because dear it’s going to get a lot worse since the economy isn’t getting any better. And I presume you wan’t to be a doctor? Why would you go and do that? Because if I were you I’d more more afraid of all the contagious diseases your patients would be bringing into that hospital. At least people are people but to deal with bacteria, airborne diseases, etc that can’t be visibly seen? Now that is what you should be worry about.</p>
