Have you ever done this?

or something similar?

Soo..I want to study without interruptions soo..

I lock my bedroom door. 2 minutes later: I get up to lock my bedroom door and realize that I have already locked it. 5 minutes later: I have an urge to make sure it is locked. 10 minutes later: I decide not to fight the urge and just check to see if the door is still locked.

I can obviously see that the door is locked..yet something in me wants to make sure.

I think it is VERY strange..

this ever happened to you?

To be honest… that’s actually very characteristic of real OCD :P

Well, that happens with my car sometimes. I have a pretty nice stereo that I’m paranoid will get stolen, even though I know it won’t because we have to park on a fairly busy road. Still, I have gotten almost up to school and had to go make sure I locked it and turned the lights off multiple times. It makes me late for school.

That happens to me with my calculator. I reach on the back and feel it just so I’m sure its there. But I am realllly forgetful so its normal. Also when I lose things I check the same place 3+ times just to make sure.

^^&^well, not the only one :]

Whan, I know :[ I saw it happen to a guy on True Life…but he checked it every 2 seconds…and kept turning in circles…

I do this.

Sometimes, I will make sure my I-Pod is in my backpack ten times in five minutes.

I’m very paranoid in a similar fashion about locking my door at night before I go to sleep, although I only check once or twice.

Hahahhaha. Now I know this is a CC thread.
