Have any of you ever done this? I finished writing an essay at home during first period before, but I've never ditched a whole day.

No. I’ve mastered the art of turning in an assignment late without the teacher knowing that it was late.

I have, my parents are so cool, so they let stay “sick” at home.

I stayed home to work on college apps at the beginning of school, but I always just get the assignment done. Make up work SUCKS.

Yes. I pretend I’m sick quite often so I can stay home.
Although to be honest I haven’t really done it much this year…

Oh yeah sometimes I’ll also just skip a class if I don’t feel like missing an entire day.

I never stayed home sick, but I did skip a couple classes before. Then turn in my work by putting it in my teacher’s school mail box.

My school’s policy on cuts are very lax, so I cut class when I need to finish up something. I’ve never cut class because I just FELT like it, though I can’t say much for myself next year when I have a plague of senioritis…

I’m a good little student. I’ve never skipped school for non-legitimate reasons.

Yeah I have, many times especially last year when I was just too damn lazy/stressed to finish everything. But then my parents would always find out because my school is ****ing lame and calls home whenever you ditch school. So then they found out and kicked my ass, every single time. So I really haven’t ditched school for quite some time now.

I can’t wait till college where my absences won’t be carefully monitored and then reported like I’m 5 years old or something.

Yes, occasionally, depending on whether or not what is being taught in school that day was important.

Yup. I would take the day off, finish the assignment and email it to the teacher, apologizing, but without telling them I skipped.

Yeah, instead you just don’t get any credit for the assignment.

^ I know. I’m just saying that if I happen to miss class for whatever reason, I won’t be instantly interrogated by my parents.

I’m not planning on ditching class when I’m paying thousands of bucks a year to go there. :)

Lol, I just stayed home 2 days ago. I accidently fell asleep late at night without studying for 2 tests. So, yep, I love my parents haha.

i do that often, i claim i have a headache and my parents don’t even care haha

I used to do that SO much back home. My school was at the other end of the city so I used to be out for 11 hours a day. It was too exhausting. My mom cool with it.

This year tho, I’ve only ever missed one day and that was to study for my SATs.

I’m guilty
But I don’t do it very often… only when I really really need to. I’d rather pull an allnighter and finish off what I need to get done

^ sometimes you can’t finish what you need to get done in an allnighter.

I had to do that today.

In my defense, I was actually somewhat sick last night and I had a lot of work left (2 tests to study + 1 research paper when it was 12:00 AM). My mom thought I was lying to her about being sick (because she knew I didn’t finish any work), but she came to check up on me in the morning and I did have a fever.

Unfortunately, I still have to finish up that research paper and email it =[

Today there was a large project due in Honors English Literature. I stayed up until twelve-thirty last night and finished it - while watching Avatar in 3D. Thismorning, I woke up tired as hell. So I stayed home, slept, and went in just in time for economics 4th period. Does that count?

Apparently only 3 people were in AP Bio 1st period. One kid told him about the big english project, so my teacher gave them a lot of bonus because he was so mad we didn’t come for his class. There are usually like 15 of us.
