Hey everyone, I am a junior and I've done a few college visits. I was wondering if you guys have visited colleges and if you have which ones and what did you think of them? Maybe this could help others who are interested in visiting the same school as you!

I’ve seen Lehigh, BU, Villanova, Penn, and maybe another I’m forgetting. I’m planning on seeing UNC, Wake Forest, UVa, Richmond, Georgetown, Emory, and Michigan. That’s a lot, eh?

It’s not, well I don’t think so, I think it’s a normal amount… now applying to all of those may be a lot.

I visited Pace University, The College of Saint Rose, and CUNY City College.
I want to visit Lehman College, Fordham University, The College of Mt. St. Vincent, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta, Marywood University and maybe Dominican College

I’ve seen Northeastern University, Boston College, Yale, UCONN, Barnard College, and Columbia.

In the next two months I am going to see NYU, BU, Emerson College, Eugene Lang College, Marymount Manhattan, Sarah Lawrence, Georgetown, George Washington, American University, Quinnipiac University and Pace University. I’m soooo excited.

Which pace campus are you visiting?

I am a soph and I visited Dartmouth BU Harvard brown Columbia penn Princeton and Yale.

I am hoping to visit American Georgetown George Washington John Hopkins BC northeastern and Fordham

Harvard, Yale, Cornell, UVA, UMASS, Vassar, Brown, UCONN–basically anyplace I’ve had a game the last three years so I’ve seen these schools many times. This is my freshman year.

Nope, waiting to do “official” athletic visits and have the university foot the bill. :)

I forgot to also include Duke. Which was really beautiful by the way. And U Texas Austin, also amazing.

I’ve seen San Jose State, Sacramento State, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego in my lifetime.

I’m not even in high school yet, (8th grade…) but I’ve seen Yale, Harvard, UCR, UCLA, and UPenn. :))

i’ve seen Columbia, Brown, Fordham, CUNY Baruch and CUNY Lehman. I also took a virtual tour of Stony Brook, but i don’t know if that counts D:

I visted UC berkeley last yr and in 2010 but I live close by so it wasn’t to shocking but I want to go to a college out of my area like in socal

None of the colleges I’m interested in are near me so I’m probably not going to visit many, if any of them. I know, big red flag, but location doesn’t really matter to me, and they are in Chicago, Washington D.C., NYC, and… Binghamton.

I do live in NYC so I guess I can go to NYU but it’s almost off of my list because of the price. And NYU isn’t really a college with a campus. I know the city.

I haven’t really “visit” a college. I went to purdue west lafayette for my cousin graduation when I was about 6-10 year old. And three time with my orchestra (different years). But I’ll officially visit purdue and ball state and other colleges this year for real lol.

Last summer I visited UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, and U of Miami (FL). I loved the campuses, and cities. This summer I hope to go to NY and some other areas of the Northeast and visit Columbia, NYU, Boston U, Northeastern, American, U of Maryland-College Park, and Drexel. I think I’m visiting U of Illinois-Urbana Champagne and Chicago soon since I’m from IL. Also visiting Iowa state soon…

I have a question? Do you have to pay to visit those colleges or is it mainly free?

Most colleges won’t pay for your travel (there are a few exceptions for some schools, i.e. your an athlete or already been accepted), but it is free to visit campus, attend classes, speak with professors, etc. I can’t imagine a college asking you to pay them just to visit.

You have to pay for the travel but the visit itself is free.

The one I went to in 2010 was free but it was throught my school and I stayed for 3 days and couldn’t go wherever whenever I wanted but it was nice to say overnight…I didn’t stay in a dorm though
