<p>If you tried many scholarships, post if you won any or if you didnt win ANY at all..</p>

<p>my friend applied to nine last year, but didn't win any.
another friend's sister applied to quite a few but only won one ($5000). her advice: apply for local scholarships cause they will be easier to get than the national ones with 1000s of applicants</p>
<p>I'm hoping I get some. The good thing about San Diego is that we have a "common app" for the San Diego foundation, which automatically applies you about 50 scholarships.</p>

<p>I got a merit scholarship ($5000/year) from Simmons, and two local ones, worth about $8000/year.</p>
