During this BS obsession period, my grades at my super easy public school have dropped an average of about 3 points. Has anyone else had the same problem?

A+, A, A, A, A-, B+ (first quarter)

A+, A, A, A, A, A- (second quarter)

A+, A+, A+, A, A, A- (so far third quarter)

so my grades have been going up, maybe because I am adjusted to high school now?

9th grade

i getting better at hard subjects, but i got a B in the easiest one. x(

but my grading system doesnt have A+ and A- and all that stuff.

ssrs!!!

I still have straight As but thats’s cause it’s so easy. My hw grades dropped from a 60% average in most classes (im bad, i know) to low 30% and my assignment comp/participation grades were all low. I smashed the exams and recieved all As for the final grades (the ones on the report) as per usual though

I’ve had straight A’s at a top tier public school with 3 AP’s and 2 honors.

BUT, how is this thread relevant to admissions at all?

It’s interesting to see how the process affects peoples lives and habits.

Gosh, BlueRaven; you sound just like my son! His midterm exam marks are like 6+ points higher than his class averages. (The midterm exam grade doesn’t get factored into the total average until the end of the year.) He still has all A’s, but they are lower than the exam grade. Last year, he got a 100 on his science final and a 93 in the class. It’s like they punish you for not having to study. (He lost points on binder checks, etc and homework review sheets totalled 30% of his grade.) By my logic, if a kid can get a 100 on an exam without doing the review sheets, they should get BONUS points, not a deduction on their final grade. It makes perfect sense to me, but everyone else always looks at me like I’m nuts.

My grades have dropped a little from things like binder checks and stuff… mostly because they are surprise binder checks and i’m not organized in the way the school wants me to be. All of my friends are suffering from low grades too.

I always have silly little assignments like getting tests signed and making flashcards that I forget about because they seem so unimportant… I honestly don’t think making flashcards to study should be a required homework assignment if you always get A’s without studying in the class.

…mine have stayed the same (all A’s). But that’s probably because I like doing schoolwork. That, and I don’t like disappointing my teachers - I come from a small, family-like school, and they’re like my parents. I don’t want to let them down.

I wish I had that kind of relationship with my teachers. I dislike most of them :p

I tend to lose points because i lose assignments, but over the summer i was at Taft for their summer program and i lost one assignment in 5 weeks because people were going through my stuff

all of the teachers at my school are terrible. There’s still one good one left, but the others were fired by the new headmaster. She’s trying to make u all dumber. My grade is repeating algebra 1, with an incomprehensible book, because she thinks algebra 2 is to advanced. Also, my 3rd grade sister knows the definition of all of my vocab words

My grades have always been Straight A’s, but there’s a difference from a 90 A and 100 A.

My teachers totally wouldn’t care if I passed or failed. One time I tried to make an excuse that something was late because of BS application, which was true and she said she didn’t care.

My math teacher is constantly talking about how hard math is, and I’m always thinking :
You’re the teacher!!! You’re the one who’s supposed to make math EASY for us >:P

That happens to me too, BlueRaven1! I got caught in the essays and interviews. Then, I’ve got school life and extra-curriculars to top it off.

@smiley For me it’s just the opposite! My math teacher is AMAZING - my favorite by far (in terms of classroom education. There are a few other teachers better at the whole “life lessons” deal) - before I was in his class, math was my worst subject, not even mentioning the fact that it just wasn’t fun. Now it’s my favorite subject, not to mention I’m actually GOOD at it!

My grades probably are going to go down because I’m spending so much pointless time on the internet.
