Hi guys, I'm an international student and I submitted my application before the scholarship deadline...
I was accepted, and we were told to wait about 2 week for scholarship. But my USConnect accounts's FA status is unavailable, and lots of people already received scholarship days ago. Does this mean that I won't be awarded at all?
USC is definitely my favorite school, but it's too expensive... I'm a pretty worried now :(

Have you received an email from USC notifying you that your award package is complete? If not, they must still be assembling your financial aid package. Wait for the official okay.

Best of luck!

Thanks! No I didn’t receive any email. I guess I’ll just have to wait then. So I’ll receive email no matter I get an award or not?

Sabrina,

Did you realize all international students who apply do not receive merit scholarships? Only a selected group with premier qualifications receive these scholarships.

International students are expected to file a financial guarantee statement. Did you do this? Are you an American citizen living abroad? If you are an American citizen you are able to apply for financial aid from the university. If that is your status did you do this? Financial aid can only be given to American students who apply and qualify.

There is a difference between financial aid and merit scholarships. If you need help with this I suggest you call USC or FAX them with your questions. Use your SC student I.D. number in all communication.

Call or contact USC during business hours Pacific time M-F.

I will definitely call them later. I am not American citizen. And I understand not all international applicants will receive merit scholarships, but I was told that if there will be any, it will show under the FA window. Thanks a lot! Your message is really helpful :)
