So, this is my schedule for junior year and my grades so far 1st quarter:
Regular U.S. Hist (A-)
Honors Pre-Calc BC (B)
Physics Honors (B)
Intermediate Science Research (B)
English 11 Honors (B) - our school doesn't let us take AP English until Senior year
College Spanish 103 through SUNY Albany UHS Program - (A)
(I also plan to self study APUSH at some point this year)

My EC's:
Wind Ensemble (top band in school)
Jazz Band
Math Team

I had a talk with my parents today, who have been saying that my schedule is way too overloaded (I also take private trumpet lessons and have a part time job at the A&P) and that I need to cut a few things out in order to free up my time, especially this year because I need to study for the SAT and ACT. They say that I've had a downward trend overall from freshman year (my calculated GPA from freshman year and sophomore year was about a 3.9 UW and 4.0 W, and how it's about 3.5 UW and 3.7 W) and that it will impact me for college, though I'm not so sure since I've read that college factor in what classes you take and that B's in honors classes are better than A's in Regents classes, however I'm not in any AP classes this year, since I wasn't recommended for APUSH or AP Spanish, which I feel could damage my chances of getting into college a little. I have plans for senior year, though, to take AP Classes:

Senior Year (tentative):
AP Calc BC
Syracuse University Project Advance English (I'll hope I can get into AP)
AP Physics
AP Euro/APUSH/AP Music Theory
Advanced Science Research
AP Chem/AP Bio/AP Computer Science A

However, now I also have to start making plans for college. I want to go to a school that's big on Computer Science or Engineering, maybe Carnegie Mellon, MIT, NYU Poly, or Stony Brook (yes, I know the first two are apparently very long reaches with my grades). However, my parents are really getting on my nerves that I haven't selected a major or have a long term goal for my future career.

All in all, I am just stressed out about junior year, there is so much work and my parents are really stressing out on me that I have little time to think about any of it. Any advice for overcoming junior year and getting into college? Any advice would be appreciated.
