Having fun writing my Extended Essay...HUH??

Is anyone else enjoying writing your EE? I'm at 2700 right now and I'm afraid im gonna go too over 4000!! ahhh HARRY POTTER EE = FANTASTIC!!!lol

what do you mean by extended essay?

Extended Essay is an IB requirement

you’ve started your ee already? wow, i havent even done an outline

My EE rough draft is due friday… I’m at 2700 right now. I’m gonna finish it tmrw lol. I still need to write my abstract… Idk how to even right an efficient abstract for an english ee

I’m so glad I never have to look at my EE again. Mine was officially 3999 words. Including the appendix and other things that don’t count like captions, it was actually over 5000.

My rough draft is due Friday the 29th, I haven’t started.

okay. for our school, it is so independent based. how should i even start the Extended Essay? i have a topic, bu twhat should i do to start?

The first thing you should do is find the extended essay guidelines for your specific topic (your school should have one or it may be online somewhere). Each topic will have a specific set of requirements and its own rubric that you have to follow.

After that, I would just go do some research and then make an outline of your paper. You should have at least 10 or so sources, probably many more. Then perhaps a first draft (if you can get a draft together by start of senior year, trust me you’ll be in SUCH good shape come December). If you’ve ever written a formal research paper, it’s basically a 4000 word one of those.

In addition to Asian Man, if you’re doing an English EE, you only need a few sources. Not nearly 10. I had 7 (the series). :)

thanks for the help! it just seems like such a confusing process to write the paper.
