<p>I'm a junior but I wil be doing this extended essay over the summer. So can you tell me more about this essay? are there certain topics that u choose from? I am thinking of doing an essay relating to science, instead of history or english which most people do.</p>
<p>you can do basically anything. for science, you would need to declare which science (ie physics, bio, chem)</p>

<p>oh yeah, i have never taken a computer science class before in my life. i remember in junior year the IB coordinator said that we should do the extended essay on what interests you, so i said, "computer science sounds cool, i'll do that." then comes senior year, and i realized that i know absolutely nothing about computer science, and by then it was too late to switch my area of study. how lame is that?</p>

<p>I´m almost done with mine, I just have to make a few corrections ( I´ll do those this weekened). I was gonna start working past friday but I decided to go to an infected mushroom concert instead ( run run run to the cities of the future hahah). I´m doing it in spanish.</p>
<p>In mine, I'm comparing the Influenza of 1918 to the current bird flu around certain points. And then around those points, I'm basically saying that although many scientists and public officials say its worse- the bird flu will impact the world less than that of the Influenza of 1918.</p>

<p>pulled an all-nighter last night. I wrote my whole essay in about 7 hours. 2500 words. it's still a rough draft, but boy am i glad i've actually done it.</p>
