Hi everyone I’m new to this but here’s the thing. I applied to UIUC for the fall semester and got denied because I was missing required courses for my major. I have my associates degree and ended with like a 3.0 I know that’s not super high but whatever. I’m trying to transfer to UIUC and I decided to choose another major for the spring I believe I would be happier with. I decided to go with interdisciplinary health sciences. The minimum gpa for a transfer student for that specific major is like a 2.8 or something. There is no “required” classes for this major but there are preferred classes which there is like 4 or 5 of those. I have 2 of these classes completed. Basically I need anyone’s advice if someone is in this major and the chances of me getting accepted. I don’t know if these preferred classes will hinder the chances of me getting accepted I guess I’m just having major anxiety because tris is like my dream school. Someone help thank you

Talk to admissions. Worst case is you have to take the missing 2-3 classes at community college (or wherever you’ve been attending) and they admit you for the spring semester, right? Or take them at Parkland, which shares some classes with UIUC, and it will be a practically seamless move, so long as you make above the minimum grades.
Thank you that’s true you’re right, I don’t know why I’ve been such a major tweak about it. I guess I just know it’s a competitive school so I’ve been worried.
Which preferred courses are you missing? And are you currently taking them in the fall?
