<p>My Vassar supplement is 661 characters in length and the limit is 500. </p>
<p>Has anyone else been having trouble cutting theirs down?</p>
<p>Is anyone willing to look mine over (preferably someone who has already submitted theirs)? I'm worried mine is a bit of a risk anyway...</p>
<p>My daughter emailed Vassar, and they said it was okay to exceed the character limit. You can upload a longer essay. How much longer, they didn’t say. My daughter wrote somewhere between 300-500 words. There have been previous discussions of the Vassar essay length here on CC.</p>

<p>Well my essay is only 161 characters over the limit and quite small actually (118 words). Since I shortened its word length so much, do you think it will be acceptable?</p>
<p>Anyone else have advice or a suggestion or does everyone agree that it is okay if my supplement is a little longer.</p>
