So I was reading threads about Hayden from a few years back, and how people said you shouldn't live there if you can't handle second-hand smoke. Is this still true? Because Hayden is my top choice but there is no way I could handle smelling that or pot all the time.

And does anyone have any photos of the different type of rooms--doubles, triple suites, quad suites? Thanks!

I think there is a prevalence of pot and general smoking all around the city. If you want a roommate that doesn’t smoke pot or cigarettes, then that is your volition. However, it’s unreasonable to not expect to be in contact with smokers. Hayden itself is known to be one of the better party dorms ( although there is no doubt of the fact great parties happen in all dorms…) and if you don’t want to be involved in drugs or the culture that is associated with this, then you should probably dorm in CHOICES or at least get a roommate who doesn’t do drugs as I previously stated. :)

There is a no smoking policy in all the dorms, that doesn’t mean people will not do it. My daughter lived in Hayden and Rubin and she never had any issues with second hand smoke. Any of the times I visited I never even encountered the smell.
