hayden, rubin, or weinstein

ok ill make the millionth thread on housing here now...i was just wondering what people who either go to nyu or have visited the dorms think about these three.

1) Which one do you currently live in, lived in, or plan on living in (so i can get a feel for your bias)?

2) Is it worth the amount you save or paid extra

3) Are the LCT housing options even feasilbe and are they worth considering for the 2-4K you save for each of the three dorms.

4) Which dorms have the reputation this year for being the most social/open-door dorm and which had the least social and serious attitude

5) Size of room (for both regular and lct), cleanliness of dorm, dining hall/food quality, and location

6) The reputation for the dorm as far as if one particular college has an abundance of students preferring that dorm or not because of the explorations offered. Also, which dorm would you recommend for a stern student considering its location and people.

1) I'm not sure yet. But my top choices are Hayden, UHall, or Rubin.

4) Weinstein has the repuation for being the most social/open-door because of the small size of their dorms. and the least social, I've heard (also when I visited a friend's dorms) is U-Hall.

5) Size of room-- it's difference becasue in the apartment style residences, they have smaller bedrooms but they also have a common room/living area that makes up for it. And traditional halls like Rubin, Brittany, and Hayden have pretty huge rooms. Small rooms go to Weinstein and Goddard for sure (I visited). The cleanest goes to UHall because it's the newest and location would probably be Weinstein, Goddard (probably the best location), and Hayden just because its all around Washington Square Park whereas the other ones are a little off campus.
