HBS 2+2: objective analysis of pros and cons

Hello again after five (!) years!

I thought it might be useful for prospective applicants to have an objective analysis of the pros and cons of the program.

More information may be found here: 2+2 Overview - MBA - Harvard Business School

From what I can tell:

PROS:

admission to HBS after 2 years of work
career services for 2 extra years
recruiting partner access for 2 extra years
summer program, 2+2 friends, etc.

CONS:

required to work for 2 years
locked in to graduate five years after admission (senior year + 2 years + 2 years MBA)

Am I missing anything? any more cons?

I thought that getting the 2 years of work is one of the reasons why many people even apply in the first place

Con: Risk being viewed as unethical for not disclosing 2+2 during the hiring phase OR risk a company passing you by because they don’t want someone for just 2 years.

That’s a great point, and surprised me too when I heard it.
Hey, PM me. Which orientation call were you on?
