Health Sciences Community in Lothrop?

Can anyone who has lived in this community or knows someone who lives in the community tell me what it is like. I want to do it, but the fact that there are mostly singles, I am afraid that it will be harder to make friends. I am kind of shy when I first meet new people, so I wanted to have a few roommates to make the college transition easier. How easy is it to meet new people when you're in this dorm hall? What kind of activities do you do together? Have you met your best friends in this community?

Also, i know that this dorm is located really closely to the hospital. How loud can it get because there have got to be a lot of amulances or helicopters bringing people to the hospital?

Thanks

Disclaimer: I don’t live in Lothrop and am not in the LLC.

1) It is supposedly somewhat loud.
2) Everyone is stuck in the same situation, so it seems like the single rooms aren’t too much of a problem; everyone I’ve talked to still makes friends. I’m sure it’s not the same as a suite though.

i just found out that i will be living in lothrop next year, too [which i am not thrilled about, being that i’ll be a sophomore next year and was hoping to get out of freshman housing, but what can you do] i hear from my friends that live there now that it’s not bad, though.

i feel like if you just keep your door open people will come into it. at least that’s how it’s been here in holland hall.
