Also sent admissions a strong email last week!

Congrats!!! :)

I was wondering where I should send the email? Just to the admissions office?

@write

Yes just t admissions. They will get back to you soon. And Paula congrats! Is UCF her first choice?

Alrighty, I just emailed them. Wrote up an email describing how much I want to attend, amoung other things. Cross my fingers:)

Good. They will prob respond to you tomorrow morning.

Probably saying what they always do, lol.
“The application process is a long one, and we ask for your patience…”

I’m more so just hoping to strike a nerve or something along the lines. I talked about some fairly personal things in relation to why my grades weren’t up to par.

Well we will see tomorrow. Just relax. Don’t check your account until Friday or monday.

You know what…I’m not going to. I’m just going to go to school, check my email, and busy myself over the weekend with a lot of work. Continuing to check, with no change, has taken a tool. Maybe if I don’t check for a few days, I’ll feel more relaxed:)

You will. It just stresses you out. Just relax and forget about admissions or 4 or 5 days.

Thank you. I this time directed the email to a specific admissions director and got a response today. Ii just picked the director from Florida they are listed on the home page of dam. I think they are broken up for different areas. Write fluently, I was direct with admissions re: the amount of time for there replayed indicated how interested she was…
I’m sure you will get in. Good luck

Ah, I didn’t direct it at a particular person. However, the past view emails I’ve seen have been read by, and replied by an individual named ‘Selma’, so maybe she’ll also read this one. As kyle said, I won’t check my status tomorrow. It will be hard not to check it on friday, because my manager is always asking me about it. (She wants me to get in as much as I do-she’s like the mother figure in my life now). I’ll try to restrain from that.

Selma replied to my email too write

She seems to be in control of most of the emails. So must be VERY busy, lol. Especially curious to what she’ll think of my email. It’s almost a novel:)

Admission’s latest response to my daughter… very not helpful :(

"Since we operate on a rolling admissions basis, we do not have a final date in which we are required to notify students of their admissions decision. The application process is one that takes time, since we give consideration to each individual. Therefore, I do not have an approximate idea of how much longer it will take. We know you are probably anxious for a decision and appreciate your patience and understanding. We encourage applicants to continue to check their myUCF portal for updates to their status.

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me."

@ovrrcome I received the same email last week.

That’s exactly the kind of message I’m assuming I’ll get, which is okay. The purpose of the email, in my opinion, was just to further convince them and asure them of my continous interest in the school. I don’t except them to say a certain date to find out, or anything other then a very general message, because I really believe they can’t. I send the email, as did Kyle, and Paula’s daughter, as a means to basically say, “I’m still waiting, and I’m still positive your school is the one I want to go to.” Maybe in a few more days, your daughter will have an her status updated:)
