Hebrew U/Rothberg Int' School for Ulpan

I am currently a HS Senior who will be attending a liberal arts school next year. I am planning to major in Foreign Languages--Spanish and Hebrew.

For Spanish, I pretty much have an idea of where I would like to study abroad, but for Hebrew, I am unsure other than someplace in Israel.

For internationals studying in Israel, I have heard that the Rothberg International School, a part of The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, is a great place to take ulpan. Another place is the The Lowry School at Tel-Aviv U.

My questions are this:
1) At what is the best university to take Ulpan, at least for American Students?
2) What are your experiences with the Pimsleur Languge CDs, if any?

You can also study at Ulpan in NYC . Good luck to you. I was a foreign language major many many years ago-my languages (native English) were German, Hebrew and Spanish.
As you know, Ulpan basically means intensive course--it is a crash course in modern Hebrew-no vowels in this.
Ulpan was developed for those people migrating to Israel. It is a quick course in conversational Hebrew.
should you truly wish to study modern Hebrew further, you must do so at University.
