Heeeey how does this make sense?

I was looking over my scores from last year. CR: 740 M: 680 and W: 710
Now, I got 5 wrong on CR and none omitted, giving me a 740. On Math, I got 4 wrong and 1 omitted. Writing I got all grammar stuff right but a 6 essay....somehow.
Is there usually that huge of a difference between curves for Math and CR? I got more stuff right for Math and got 60 points lower? ***?

yea the math curve is pretty ridiculous. miss one and already down to 760-780 unlike CR where u can miss like 3 and still get an 800. Looks like the math test u took was “easier” to collegeboard then the others.

yeah math curve sucks.

i got lucky on my test date, i missed 1 and got 790… but its usually more ridiculous.

btw, did u get more vocab wrong or passage questions wrong?

Passage questions. I only missed 1 sentence completion. I consistently get 800s in reading on the practice tests now but jesus, it’s normally like you can miss 3 and get an 800 on reading. I missed 5 and got 740. And it really sucks cuz when you get to the upper 700s, you usually only miss an answer cuz of a stupid mistake. But when the test is considered “easier” by other people, that stupid mistake costs you a lot more. Laaaaaaaaaaame

what do u do for vocab? or does it come naturally to u?

I have a pretty good vocab just from…English classes and reading I guess. Usually there’s 1 or 2 questions where it comes down to 2 words I’m unfamiliar with. Sometimes knowing prefixes and stuff helps, and sometimes it’s just a guessing game/gut feeling.
