Well, i didnt see an introduction forum so i post here! close thing to it for me anyway.
well, obviously im new and im in 11th grade. this month (which is a little late for me) im taking the PSAT and SAT. i think everything will go fine for me!

Uh, hi? Lol. Study hard for it?

Don't screw up like me and think the PSAT isn't important.

yea i wont dont worry! my parents are hard on me to study. everything will be okay.

work hard!!

sp3, so yur out of highschool?
i know yu told me yu dont go to it, but its confusing. explain again

i finished high school bout 2 years ago.then after that i wanted to go into the business field so i went and started ABE

ohh ok. wow thats neat. can yu explain ABE to me?

ABE stands for association of business exceutives.once i complete the entire thing i can get nearly any business type job.also, the course has alot of IT,a lil bit of account and law

so, are yu planning on being an entrepreneur?

Why do the PSAT's matter exactly? Sure if you are the top in the country you get the scholarship thing, but for everyone else it's only a practice SAT.

i just see it as a preview of the SAT and nothing more.

NoooOOOooooOOOOOoOoO

why not?
lol

Ah, I'm not going to retype all my views about it. Find one of my old posts in the thread that's like "Study or not study for the SAT?" somethign like that.

well, to gain knowledge is never a bad thing so i say go for it but if yu have a very good explaination in one of those threads then i may think otherwise lol

Lol. Well IV said elsewhere that the SAT is supposed to measure your general knowledge so if you study for it then it ceases to have any purpose other than providing you a good score to apply for good colleges.
I wouldn't consider studying for the SAT as "gaining knowledge" unless you cram vocab books, through which you learn new words. But that's it.

sorta im not 100% sure yet

Studying for the SAT isn't about gaining knowledge, it's about getting the highest possible score on the SAT. That's why you can't compare it to studying for a normal test. Studying for the SAT has no intrinsic value.

^ LOL at "intrinsic value". I have no idea what it is but you sound almost like my Theology teacher.
