..as soon as you get accepted to a college of your choice. Anyone with me?

Hey I have a question. After you get accepted to college, say you have a 4.0 gpa when you apply. Then after you get accepted if someone were to get bad grades that would lower the gpa significantly would the college see this and reconsider enrollment? 0.0

they can.....

LilBabySeaOtter, they can rescind your offer of admission. What most colleges want to see is that after you get accepted, you continue at about the same level of performance because that's the basis on which you were admitted in the first place. But in most cases, you have to have a really drastic drop in order to have your admission revoked. I've heard that an occasional C is okay, but D's aren't.

In any case, major slacking off isn't what you want to do, unless you're sure you can pull of decent grades.

^Agree with Demeter. Getting accepted to a college doesn't guarantee they'll want to keep you. Getting a B or C here and there won't hurt you, but anything lower than that could result in rescinding their offer of admission to you.

. . . Welcome to the Club. :)

I, for one, look forward to taking an $83 nap during the AP French exam.
I'm actually looking forward to some senior stuff: senior picnic, yearbooks, GRADUATION OH GOD PLEASE, grad night, etc.
...I'm just not overly fond of the idea that my teachers still expect me to work and give a crap. ; ) Though some are starting to see the light...

^ Nice name.

I'm a junior and have no idea how I'm going to take another year of high school without exploding. BLAHHH.

Anyway, yes, I do agree.

I've experienced extreme seniorities and was told by my english teacher that i'm a slacker now and just because I got accepted to college doesn't mean I can stop working. She also added that we all have nasty attitudes now.

Well, maybe that's because my high school is BS and I don't care anymore? So yes I agree with this topic. :)

DannyLS3, yep, got that from my English teacher to. He gave the whole class the, "YOU ARE NOT DONE YET" speech.

Dubisteinschuh, don't worry. That's totally how I felt at the end of junior year. But senior year isn't so bad.

No way. Now that its senior spring, I'm only taking the classes I want to take (Robotics ftw), and I have tons of free time. Its the last term you're going to be with your high school friends, so you might as well enjoy it.

They should let second semester seniors take everything pass/fail. It would be a nice reward for the 12.5 years of hard work

I So Agree!

My AP Bio teacher right now is pretty ****ed because since she has been teaching AP (she has been here like 40 years, teaching AP as long as its been around) and she has always gotten AP Bio first semester...now she has us for the first time as Second semester seniors....she gives us such a hardtime because we all want to leave her class to do stuff but she won't allow any of it, it's brutal.

Your AP Biology class is only one semester long? Ours here are the full year.

Yeah Dementer, she definitely said "You aren't done yet" :D

yeah hks..., we don't have ANY full year courses except band goes every other day with gym because of marching etc...but all APs are only 1 semester..

They say I'm not done, but I am.

32 more days...agh
