and Indian: how did I quote you incorrectly?

my analysis is totally relavent

you need to open your eyes.

Failure in high school does not equate to failure in life.

luck can only take you so far

your support system can only support you for so long

your hard work can only take you to the door step of luck

if nothing works, you are going to die soon enough anyway. [excuse the negativity]

okay just forget all of this bull shi t, I just need some more opnions and some help.

I have another question about my test scores, do the UC's and all the schools on the East and West coast look down on you if you take the ACT?? Are your chances better if you send a SAT score?? And what if SAT score is lower??

depends on what school. alot of east coast schools prefer the SAT but will take the ACT. Very few colleges refuse the ACT so you should be fine. If you decide not to use your ACT score, you will have to take SATIIs along with your SAT.

so I wouldn't really have an advantage by taking the SAT??? It wouldn't increase my chances??? And then do schools want to see that you have taken SAT 2's ???

No advantage by taking SAT, it would not increase your chances unless the score was higher than ACTs.

In my opinion, it would be extremely beneficial for you to take SAT 2s. Your low grades do not show any mastery of classroom material. If you do well on SAT 2s you will at least show you have the knowledge to succeed in college. Aim for at least 700+ on 2-3 SAT2s

I second chocolate luvr. Don't take SAT I unless you are sure you will score significantly higher on the SAT.

and SAT II's are hard, so I suggest focusing on ACT above a 32 and then spending the summer studying for SAT II's.

because if you want to go to the schools you've listed, you scores need to be HOT. Aim for 33+

So I cant' take SAT II's without taking the SAT I?

You can take SAT IIs without taking the SATI.

alright thats good, does anybody have any reccomendations on what SATII's to take and which ones are harder?

errr

play your strengths.

you seem kinda clueless about this whole experience, lol. we all learn eventually.

many colleges require Math 2C [or atleast recommend] if you want to do engineering or computer science.

so any math related, thats your subject.

hmm...science, then you need physics bio etc.

you said you took APUSH, then I suggest taking US history.

if you've taken a CORE honors or AP class, like any science/math/social sciences, you will most likely find a subject.

good luck man!

thanks alot man

Hey, now my f'in english teacher is saying that schools on the West and East Coast are requiring the SAT. I need to really get this cleared up.

IndianKid, for clarification, if you take ACT it fullfills the SATII requirement for all colleges (at least those with an SATII requirement)

so I don't have to take SATII's? and if I were to take them would it look better? Assuming that I score 700+

Good luck.

Ha, thanks I need all the luck I can get

You sure? I knew some colleges did that, but I didn't know that ALL colleges who accepted ACT did that.
