Help a (rising) junior with class scheduling!

Hi all,
My schedule for next year looks like this:

AP Lang
Multivariable calc H
APUSH
Spanish 4 H
APCS A
Some science class
Some other elective

Any advice on the following decisions?

-should I try to skip to AP spanish instead of 4H? If not, is it worth it to take 4H and then AP (two more years of spanish?)

-should I take AP chem or AP physics C next year? I will take one next year and one the year after. For background, this year I took AP physics 1 and AP calc BC, and a basic chemistry course last summer.

-for my last elective, I can either take a video class or a (third!) year of drama. Either way, I will take drama again senior year.

  • another option would be to take AP stats for my elective, but then I would have to go to some online college course for math senior year (as I would have finished all of my school's math classes)

Any and all advice is welcome. I can provide more details if necessary.

There’s no burning reason to take AP Language vs. level 4. Top schools look for 3 years, and 4 can be beneficial, with a very small number (1?) expecting 4. AP is focused more on the country, culture, history, etc. It doesn’t really carry any extra benefit (other than college credit for the AP test), IMHO.

This looks pretty much exactly like my D’s schedule (except French 4 instead). She has AP Chem as the science, plus Band as an arts elective. She’ll take Physics C senior year - the order doesn’t really matter.

Either arts elective is fine, though continuity may be a benefit. But take what you think you will enjoy more.

I wouldn’t take Stats as the elective. You’d run out of math classes (same situation for my D), would lose the multi-facet aspect of an arts course, and (IMO) Stats is nowhere near as much fun.

Take drama.
Take Spanish 4.
Take AP Chem.
Don’t overdo it. How are your math grades? Don’t rush through, look to build solid foundation.

Don’t skip to AP Spanish, take Spanish 4 honors. No need to take AP in senior year unless you really want to.

Toss up on the science which one first.

For elective, I’d just continue drama straight through.
