Hey all!

I'm going to be a senior in a public NJ high school. I'm looking into a career in journalism or communications but obviously that isn't the greatest thing to get into right now so I'm not set on that, I want a school that is strong in other areas as well.
I have a 3.4 as of the end of my junior year. I've taken at least one honors class every year, hopefully senior year I'll be taking AP Gov on top of honors English but I'm having a few scheduling conflicts.
I have an 1870/1270 combined SAT (670 CR, 600 M, 600 W).
I've been on the newspaper 3 years, as Op-ed and now News editor.
I volunteer at my library as tutor to middle school aged kids.
This summer I've been working at a state assemblyman's office. (I'm hoping this will set me apart a little-thoughts?)

I think I'm definitely going to apply to:

Rutgers
TCNJ
Ramapo
Temple
American (a big reach)

I'm looking into:

Fordham
Marymount Manhattan
Ursinus
Montclair State

Anyone tell me what they think my chances are for this list? Any other suggestions for mid-atlantic area schools? I'm a little bit concerned that I don't have a real solid safety school. I'm pretty confident that I'll get into at least one between Rutgers, Ramapo and Temple as long as I apply early. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!
