I just received my mid term grades and they are horrible. I don’t know what to do about my classes. My English prof told me to withdraw from his class because my class is “close to 0” as an f. I got a D in his class. I also got a D in history and an F in psychology. I do not want a horrible GPA. Any recommendations. These are my mid term grades:
English Comp 1 ( D )
Cmptr Basics: Concepts & Apps ( A- )
Mod Us History ( D )
Child Grow Dev ( C- )
Gen Psychology (F )
Pre Algebra (D)
*Pre algebra wont be calculated into my gpa
*I plan on fixing general psychology’s grade. I got an f on that class because i failed his mid term exam. There’s 2 more exams in his class. If i pass them then my grade will becomes higher. so i have to wait and see what it becomes.
*Thinking of withdrawing English 101.
Withdraw from all those classes with bad grades, then concentrate on Computer Basics and Child Development. It looks like for, whatever reasons, you aren’t ready to handle a heavy load of coursework. It looks like you are trying to take 18 credits, which is more than the typical 15 credits that make up a full semester course load. Next semester, do not take a full load, and look into taking a study skills course.
Normally i’m able to take 18 credit workload but this semester i had to be hospitalized and missed alot of the work because of that. There’s still half of this semester left. I am attempting to get at least a c in psychology and history.
Your GPA will be significantly impacted. It may be too late to get decent passing grades.
I would also recommend you withdraw because you aint getting A’s in those classes.
Okay, so what happens if you don’t withdraw and can’t get those grades up? What do you think will happen then with your GPA?
Hundreds of thousands of kids enter school saying they are going to be med students. Reality of coursework hits hard in college and they begin to realize, “wow, its tough!”
Right now you have to consider how hard you would be willing to work to get those grades up to C’s because the teacher’s can’t “ERASE” those midterm grades.
