Help, apparently. “California high schools cannot add California community college courses to their UC approved A-G Course List”. In This case, I entered in Spanish 3 on my csu application but instead of putting it in as a high school coursework, I put it in as a dual enrollment class because I got it from my CC transcript. However, Spanish 3 was taught on campus by a high school instructor but was still considered a community college class because I had a separate transcript for it. Anyways, when you are applying for a CSU school, you have to do the a-g matching. In my case, I had put both Spanish 3 in my high school coursework section but also put it in a different section titled “college coursework”.
When I got to a-g matching, it gave me an extra year of Spanish and showed that I took 4 years of Spanish instead of 3. So instead, I took out Spanish 3 from my hs coursework section and then used “SPAN 101B” as my 3rd year of Spanish class. Now instead of saying that I took four years of Spanish, It now says I took 3. So thinking that I had everything right, I turned in my college application for the CSU about two weeks ago. Now I am being told that apparently, Spanish 3 should not be reported as a dual enrollment class because of the “California high schools cannot add California community college courses to their UCapproved A-G Course List” message.
It is either that I read that whole statement wrong or something but now I’m scared that I am going to be denied admission because of a mistake of putting in a dual enrollment class when it should’ve been kept as Spanish 3.
Did I mess up? or did I report the class right.
