Alright I'm going to make this short and sweet and I sure hope someone can help me. Basically I transfered to college that I hate, so I have applied to another university and got "Conditionally Accepted". Thats great except I did horrible this semester (1.5 gpa) worst then I have ever done in college and im a junior I have a transfer gpa of a 3.08. this is my first and only semester at this college and since I didnt have at least a 2.0 gpa they are putting me on "Academic Probation". The new college im looking to transfer states that under conditional acceptance I must have a tranferable gpa of a 2.25 and ELIGIBLE TO RETURN TO YOUR PREVIOUS INSTITUTION! My gpa for the semester isn't going to drop my cumulative gpa below the 2.25 it will still be around a 2.86. My problem is by leaving my current college on academic probation am I eligible to return? Its my first semester here so the probation is a warning, I'm not getting kicked out. As for the other college is there a difference between " ELIGIBLE TO RETURN" and "BEING IN GOOD STANDING"? The semester is almost over and I'm ready to get out of here but if I loose my acceptance at the other school I will be forced to spend another grualing semster here to get myself off of academic probation. Any thought on this will be helpful thanks!

The only place to find the answer to this is your current college, go to your Dean, Dept. Chair or Registrar, and ask.
