I'm currently a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley and I'm looking to transfer to UF. Between college and AP credits, I have enough credits to be a junior transfer. I've never done a chance thread before but I'm curious... What are my chances? I hear it can be tough to transfer from an out of state university, but I was accepted to UF's honors college out of high school so I'm really hoping things work out now...

Stats:
Looking to transfer into Political Science (CLAS)
College GPA: 3.62
HS GPA (W,UW): 4.2, 3.7
9 APs
Decent extracurriculars
31 ACT, 2140 SAT

If I don't get in for this spring, would it be advisable to go to community college back in my hometown in Florida for a semester, and apply for Fall 2012? I'm pretty unhappy at my current school so the only reason I'd want to stay for next semester is if I don't get in and continuity would be beneficial for transfer admissions or something. Thanks!
