Should I take IB math or Stats? I haven't taken calculus, but I can prepare over summer and take IB Math. Any suggestions or other classes that I can take?

I think you should look into the school you want to go to and what program you want to enter. Once you look at what the school wants, you could decide between the two. For instance, if you go into a field that takes Stats out of your freshman course load if you take AP, take that. if not, alter based on that!

I don’t know much about homeschooling, but I am in the IB Diploma program at my high school. Because IB classes require internal assessments, (graded by the teacher rather than externally) I thought that you can’t simply go and take the external assessments at the end of the year.

I’m with supersaian - can you just take a single IB class as a homeschooler? I don’t think you can even do that as a traditional student. It’s an IB “program”, not individual classes like AP.

In either case, I don’t think the difference between AP Stats and IB Math HL will be that big a deal when applying to colleges. They’re both good classes.
