I am in the process of filling the application and everything looks straight forward except for Other Information --> Additional Information. It says “Please provide any additional details, circumstances, or qualifications not reflected in the application for admission”. I have no idea what I have fill in this section. Can someone who has already started their application or reviewed this section let me know what they are looking for here.
Anyone who can help me out here? Also I am confused with the collation application and the application on the school website. I started to fill the school application. Do I stand a better chance if I use the coalition application? One of the posts mentioned that coalition application requires your resume to be uploaded. However the standard application doesn’t ask for the resume
@MoTownBlues, the additional information is completely optional. Some people have situations they want to explain, like a significant decline in grades during a particular semester. If you don’t have anything you want to add, just skip it.
You can fill out either the Coalition or MSU application. They are both evaluated EXACTLY the same. The Coalition application is a good idea if you’re applying to other schools that are using Coalition. Otherwise, you’ll find the MSU application is much faster. Coalition may have a place to upload your resume, but it is not required in our admission review. Good luck!
Thanks for the response @msuadmissions. In the college application I don’t see a place to self report my ACT, SAT and AP scores. I understand ACT and SAT scores can be sent directly. Since AP scores need not be sent directly I would like to self report them. Should I use the “Activities and Awards” section for this?
@MoTownBlues, all scores (including AP) must be sent to the Office of Admissions directly from the testing agency.
