Help! Complicated Transfer Question!

Hi everyone!
This is pretty complicated question, but maybe someone here has had a similar experience. I applied for Spring 2020 Transfer, and ended up accepting at CSUCI. It’s not exactly my school of choice, but I’ve been in Community College for a really long time and I was ready to just finish already. Things got a bit complicated with CI (something that kind of deterred me from wanting to attend), and with the uncertainty of whether I would really be attending CI in the Spring, I applied to a few other schools for Fall 2020 just in case. Long story short, things with CI has barely just been confirmed (like this morning), but I am just excited about the prospect of being accepted at the school I applied to for Fall; namely Cal Poly SLO or CSUN. I think that my chances of getting into these schools are pretty darn slim, but I know that if I end up getting into one of them I will want to attend. My question is if I’ve already started at CI in the Spring, and then find out I get accepted into one of those schools, would I still somehow be able to attend them in the Fall?

Additionally, I’ve included my info so that someone could do me the favor of giving me a reality check and reminding me that neither SLO or CSUN would accept me.

Thanks!

there’s no harm in applying to other schools while CI finalizes the details. I would encourage you to consider other targets though. SLO is a really tough transfer target, especially for non-local applicants. They have something like a 15% acceptance rate - and that includes locals. Apply but, know it is unlikely.

Northridge is also tricky for non-local applicants. It looks like your major is impacted too so, I’d call it a coin toss.

I’d also apply to couple of other campuses as well. SJSU looks like a good bet

Sac, and Sonoma are probably also solid targets.

apply broadly and good luck
