I sent my CSS online form to Harvard today, but the CSS application status says it will get sent on Feb 7, 2008 and that the "send" date (Feb. 7) must match the day the school requires it. However, Harvard requires it on Feb. 1st !!! and I don't understand why it is sent so late when I already submitted it on January 30th. I'm really scared Harvard won't consider me for financial aid since Feb. 7 doesn't match Feb. 1 ... ahh help. What should I do? Should I call Harvard?

I guess you could call College Board PROFILE services. They should be able to help.

I had submitted ours on 1/28 but it's scheduled to be sent out to colleges on 2/28. I am not that worried as my deadline dates are 2/15. This is what the status says:

.......
You have submitted your PROFILE Application to the College Board. Some colleges and scholarship programs request that the College Board delay sending student PROFILE reports until the date they specify. A paper report of your information has been, or will be, sent to the following colleges or programs on the indicated dates.

If the date submitted meets your colleges' and programs' priority filing dates, your application will be considered on time.

Some colleges and programs choose to receive your information electronically. Those colleges and programs will receive your data according to the schedule they have requested, which can be as early as the next business day after submission.

If a financial aid office has told you that they have not received your PROFILE Report and this status indicates that it has been sent, you can be certain that your information is at the college. Because colleges receive many PROFILE reports each day, your report is most likely in process.

Not sure what your status shows, but if in doubt call up CSS:

.....contact us at (305) 829-9793. To speak with a College Board representative, please call Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern time). Extended service hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. are available from January through April.

hope that helps.

Askme02,

I have the exact same problem. When we call we should explain the situation, but what can CB do? Can they change when they submit it?

If you look at the application status online, it says "If the date submitted meets your colleges' and programs' priority filing dates, your application will be considered on time. " If you submitted it on Jan 30, you beat the deadline and you are fine.

So I submitted it on the 31st and I am fine? Great

Yeah I was sorta wondering this too. So even if it says it will be sent 2-4-08 and I sent it in on 1-29-08, I'm fine for the 2-1-08 deadline?

Well, I called. The date shown on the status is actually the paper form of application that is sent (or will be sent as scheduled). The electronic form of application is transmitted / sent as early as the next buisness day of PROFILE submission.

she confirmed my application has been delivered to the univeristy the next day, so I have met my dates!

hope that helps.

Askme02, I submitted it on the 31st, so the next business day is Friday, today. So according to what you found, am I safe?

akahmed:

I guess you are. Best would be to call them and get a confirmation. Also, if in your status check if you do not see any thing -ve (means failure or rejection) I would think it is submitted.

hope that helps!

I called CSS staff and they said my application will be considered on time. Thanks Askme02 for the help.
