I missed the deadline for stanford, harvard, and princeton's priority deadline on the CSS and I am very scared. I assumed that all the schools wanted the CSS profile by March 1st, but I am wrong. I have already filled out the FAFSA back in January for my colleges. What will happen now? My family really needs the money.

Well, first of all, Princeton doesn’t USE the Profile. They have their own form.

You need to get the missing forms done ASAP…like today or tomorrow.

Contact the financial aid offices at the schools to inquire about the implications of this. At least one of these schools had a February 1 deadline, the others February 15.

Go and look for all the things you MUST submit ASAP to these schools. At least one of them requires completed 2013 tax returns by March 1…which is Saturday.

@thumper1 I am finishing the CCS profile tonight. Would it help if I already did my FAFSA? and The deadlines are Harvard February 1st, Princeton January 15th, Stanford February 25th, and UChicago February 1st.

These schools use either the Profile or their own form (Princeton) to determine the awarding of institutional need based aid. Contact the schools. They are the only ones who can tell you the implications of late applications.

These deadlines have been on their websites since either late summer or early fall.

Send them ASAP. It may hurt by sending in late as funding may be limited, but there is nothing else you can do. Just hope for the best.
