Hi I'm new to posting on this forum and though I've been looking through different threads throughout time, it's now time for me to ask an urgent question of my own.

I'm in 12th grade, my high school GPA is a 3.38, and I currently have a low D in Pre-Calculus 1. I'm trying my ass off to get it to a C at least, but I want to know that if that doesn't happen, what are my options aside from community college ---> transfer.
This is my 4th year of math so I've already met both my HS graduation requirements and the CSU/UC's requirements (they only require 3 years) however if I were to drop this course now
according to my school's site, it would appear as a W/F and count as an F in my GPA.
(I had asked earlier to switch to College Algebra 1 but the deadline had just passed so I've been stuck in Pre-Calc and it's killing me.)

I WILL be taking College Algebra 2 next semester, but my focus is currently on my present situation.

I really see no option other than continuing to bite the bullet and hope for a C. But one question I have along with what I wrote above is: if the course is NOT required how much is it taken into consideration? (seeing as I've already met my Math requirements and I plan on taking College Algebra 2 next semester)
How will affect my chances at places like CSU: San Marcos, Northridge, San Diego?
Is a W/F better than and F even though they add up the same in GPA calculation?
Any ideas? Advice?

I've applied to CSU's and a few UC's undeclared and I DO NOT plan on going into a math/science major.

Any thoughts would be great. I really, truly appreciate it.

Thank you
